My stay at The Davis Bangkok was a mixed experience. While I appreciated the friendly staff and the location near shopping malls, I faced plumbing issues and dated decor that detracted from the comfort. The rooftop pool offered a nice respite from Bangkok's heat, but overall, the hotel felt worn down rather than luxurious. I had high hopes but left feeling somewhat disappointed.

Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and had a lovely bathroom, but the furniture felt very old and the decor was quite dated. I often found it lacked natural light, making the room feel dim.
Service
7.0
The service was friendly, although some areas seemed understaffed. I had a couple of language barriers with the front desk staff, which led to some misunderstandings during my stay.
Location
8.0
The location is ideal, being a short walk away from two major shopping malls, which made it convenient for exploring the area. Plus, the free tuk-tuk service to the Skytrain was a bonus.
Dining
6.0
I found the breakfast options to be reasonable, with a decent mix of fruits and Asian dishes, although not included in my stay. The dining experience felt a bit chaotic, and I was disappointed when I was told I couldn't have breakfast after toasting my bread.
Facilities
6.0
I enjoyed using the rooftop pool, which was one of the highlights of my stay. However, some amenities like the spa seemed overpriced compared to other places in Bangkok.

My stay at The Davis Bangkok was a mixed experience. The room was fantastic, spacious, and clean, but the check-in process left much to be desired. The staff were unresponsive to pre-arrival inquiries and the service felt lacking throughout my stay. While the rooftop pool and location were a plus, I was disappointed overall, especially for a special occasion like my birthday.

Rooms
6.0
The Diplomat Suite I stayed in was large, clean, and featured a beautiful jacuzzi. However, the corner wing rooms felt a bit dated and smelled of cigarettes.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the service didn't meet my expectations. I experienced unhelpful staff at check-in and throughout my stay, with little guidance or responsiveness to my requests.
Location
6.0
The hotel is situated in a decent area, a bit of a walk to malls and restaurants, but generally accessible with cheap taxi options nearby.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were average; I wouldn't say it blew me away, but it was satisfactory for my needs.
Facilities
7.0
The rooftop pool was lovely and a good spot to relax, though the distance from my room was a bit inconvenient.

Overall, I found The Davis Bangkok to be a solid choice. The spacious rooms were a nice surprise, especially at such a competitive price point. I appreciated the friendly staff and the lovely pool area, but the Wi-Fi connection and breakfast variety left a bit to be desired.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and clean, equipped with a kitchenette, which made my stay comfortable. However, I did notice that the bathroom could use some updates.
Service
9.0
The staff were accommodating and helpful, making me feel right at home during my stay. They went the extra mile, letting me use the rooftop pool after check-out, which was a nice touch.
Location
7.0
While the hotel is located just off the main areas, the free tuk-tuk ride to the Skytrain was super convenient. It's a bit of a walk to where the action is, but I appreciated the quieter environment.
Dining
6.0
The breakfast lacked variety, mostly sticking to the same items each day. It wasn't terrible, but more options would have been nice.
Facilities
8.0
The pool area was beautiful, and the spa offered well-priced treatments. The gym was small but had enough equipment for a decent workout.

I had high hopes for The Davis Bangkok, given its storied past as a boutique hotel, but honestly, it felt like it had lost its spark. While the location is pretty fantastic and the building has its charming moments, my experience was marred by cleanliness issues and dated decor. It’s a real shame because it could be such a gem with a little TLC.

Rooms
5.0
My room was spacious, which was a plus, but I was disappointed by the funky smells and signs of neglect. The bathrooms had moldy grout, and there was a general sense of dustiness that made me uneasy.
Service
5.0
The staff were friendly overall, but I really had to work at getting some help. I faced some major snags with my deposit, which left a sour taste because I didn't get any proof of the refund. It could have been smoother for sure.
Location
6.0
The location was definitely a highlight. It was right near the bustling parts of town, but still offered a chance to escape the noise. The complimentary tuk-tuk ride to the Skytrain was a nice touch!
Dining
5.0
Breakfast left a lot to be desired. It was pretty bland and cold, so I decided to eat out after the first day. They really need to step up their dining game if they want to attract more guests.
Facilities
5.0
There were decent amenities like a little gym and a pool, but both felt neglected. It seemed like they were stuck in the past and could use some modern upgrades and thorough cleaning.

I stayed for my birthday in the Diplomat Suite at The Davis Bangkok, and while the room was spacious and clean with a fantastic jacuzzi, the overall experience left much to be desired. Despite my partner and me reaching out for special arrangements, we received no responses, which set a disappointing tone for the stay. The service during check-in was unfriendly, and I felt unwelcome, ultimately detracting from what should have been a celebratory occasion.

Rooms
7.0
The Diplomat Suite was large, clean, and featured a great jacuzzi, making it quite luxurious. However, the issues with the air conditioning left a negative mark on my overall experience.
Service
5.0
Unfortunately, the reception staff were cold and unhelpful. Despite reaching out multiple times prior to our arrival, our inquiries went unanswered, which was quite frustrating.
Location
6.0
The location is decent, but it felt a bit far from the main attractions. While it's close to the expressway, walking to malls and restaurants was not as convenient as I had hoped.
Dining
5.0
There weren't many dining options nearby, and the hotel's bar wasn't open during my stay, which was disappointing and inconvenient.
Facilities
6.0
The swimming pool looked lovely, but it was located in a different wing, requiring a walk that didn't align with my expectations for convenience.
